Portable Air Conditioner Warranty Information

Limited Warranty: Spot Cooling Systems, Inc. warrants to the original owner that the Product will be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period not to exceed one (1) year from date of purchase.

Limitations: This warranty does not cover defects which result from owner negligence or causes beyond Spot Cooling Systems, Inc. control. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Accident, neglect, misuse, abuse, incorrect wiring
• Repairs improperly performed by an unauthorized technician
• Use of replacement part or accessories not conforming to original equipment specifications
• Lack of proper maintenance (not changing filters regularly)
• Modifications or alterations to the original equipment
• Equipment in which the serial number has been altered or removed

Preventive maintenance is not covered by the Limited Warranty, nor is equipment cleaning, Acts of God (war or terrorism, natural disaster, flooding), theft, or equipment abuse. Equipment that is damaged by something other than a mechanical component failure is not covered under this agreement. “Nuisance calls” (e.g., the thermostat isn’t turned on, or the breaker is off) are not covered.

The sole obligation of Spot Cooling Systems under this warranty will be to furnish, without charge, a replacement part for a defective part. This warranty does not include installation, transportation, or postage costs associated with installing the replacement part.

Prior approval by Spot Cooling Systems, Inc. must be obtained prior to any work being performed. Unauthorized repairs shall be the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

Any claim under this warranty should be first presented to Spot Cooling Systems, Inc.

THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, MADE BY SPOT COOLING SYSTEMS. SPOT COOLING SYSTEMS ASSUMES NO LIABILITY IN ANY EVENT FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, OR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM A BREACH OF THIS WARRANTY.

Extended Warranty: One time charge - Three full years warranty on all parts and labor. Underwritten by a major surety company with a nationwide network of dealers.
